EPSHRM Speaker Opportunities The El Paso Society Human Resource Management (EPSHRM) is accepting proposals from Speakers who wish to present in 2024 at various monthly meetings. About EPSHRM The Pinnacle Award Winning Chapter of the El Paso Society for Human Resource Management was originally established in April 1954 as the Personnel Managers Association of El Paso. The organization evolved over the years and transitioned through the American Society of Personnel Administrators (ASPA) and into the El Paso Society for Human Resource Management. The chapter was affiliated with the National Society for Human Resource Management in 1978. Speaker Selection Guidelines EPSHRM does not offer a fee for Meeting Speakers. The size of, and decision-making authority of the audience and membership, provide an outstanding opportunity for speakers to increase their visibility and establish valuable contacts within the Southwestern Texas HR community. EPSHRM may consider some reimbursement for travel expenses for Speakers presenting content for more than 4 hours. Presentations are reviewed by the Vice President Programs committees and are evaluated based on proposed topic, relevance, and overall quality of content and relatedness to the HR profession, originality, and educational value, as well as Presenter’s professional speaking skills and references. It is EPSHRM's intent to submit all presentations to the Human Resources Certification Institute (HRCI) and SHRM to achieve strategic or general credit for the benefit of attendees. EPSHRM will work with all Speakers to obtain the necessary information to submit presentations for credit. SHRM Bodies of Competency and Knowledge Topics that would be of great interest to our organization include: Strategic Management, Workforce Planning and Employment, Human Resource Development, Employee and Labor Relations, Organizational Development, Leadership, Diversity, Workforce Readiness, Business Acumen, Legal, Risk Management, and Ethics. If your proposal is not selected for immediate addition for the Monthly Programs Calendar, it will be kept on file for possible future consideration. Interested in Speaking?
